Das gute Haus

Gute Räume überdauern Generationen. Wohlproportioniert und nachhaltig gut gestaltet bieten sie Platz zum Leben, Arbeiten oder Repräsentieren. Ob als Wohnung. Büro, Galerie, Ausstellungsraum, als Ort der Kultur oder des Lernens – ein gutes Haus gibt Generationen von Menschen einen markanten Ort für die eigene Lebenszeit, die der Kinder, Enkel und Urenkel – und deren Kinder, Enkel und Urenkel…

Mit dem Semesterentwurf sollen Sie ein solche Haus planen, dass den Nachhaltigkeitsaspekt der Langlebigkeit in den Fokus stellt. Ein Haus, das räumliche Angebote macht. Eine Typologie, die nicht die Nutzung vorgibt, sondern die Räume, die dann mit Leben gefüllt werden können.

Good spaces endure for generations. Well-proportioned and sustainably designed, they offer space for living, working, or entertaining. Whether as an apartment, office, gallery, exhibition space, or a place of culture or learning—a good house provides generations of people with a distinctive place for their own lifetimes, those of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren…

For this semester’s design project, you are to plan a building that emphasizes the sustainability aspect of longevity. A building that offers spatial possibilities. A typology that does not dictate its use, but rather provides spaces that can then be filled with life.
